Are you a candidate for a Curly Cut?
Curly Cuts are designed for anyone who exclusively wears their hair curly. We suggest this type of technique for people who falls in the 3B to 4c range (look below at the FAQ’s).
How to arrive at your curly cut appointment:
You will be coming in with your natural curl texture.

Please cleanse and condition. Your hair cannot be more than 2 days dirty.

Fully detangle your hair, and apply minimal product. It’s important to avoid oil-based or wax-based products. No butters, or anything heavy.
​
FULLY dry your hair. No damp roots with dry ends. Air dry or diffuse your hair. Please do not put your hair in a ponytail, hair bands, or pins. This will disrupt the natural curl pattern.

Style your hair in a wash-and-wear approach.
We strongly recommend you deeply clarify your hair if you use any of the following products regularly: Shea Moisture, Aussie, Cantu, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Black Castor Oil, or any products containing heavy oils/butters or silicones.

Clarifiers we really love: SOLU by Davines is our go-to, however, if you are in a bind and cannot get to the salon to purchase SOLU, Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo will work. Lastly, adding baking soda to your shampoo acts as a clarifying agent.
